When the Road Feels Narrow

“If the road feels narrow upon you, and doubts surround you from every direction, then do not search for certainty in the piling up of means or in the plans of people. Rather, return to your heart and ask it: how much trust in your Lord still remains within you?

Hearts that tremble under the weight of anxiety do not need a new map; they need a tranquility drawn from His words:

« And whoever relies upon Allah — then He is sufficient for him. »
[Quran Translation: At-Talaaq: 3]

Certainty is not about seeing the way out. It is about walking toward it while blind to every direction except the direction of the sky. It is about remaining firm when everyone else falls apart, because your heart was never attached to them in the first place, but to the One who, when He says to a thing, “Be,” it is.

And how heedless is the one who clings to worldly means while neglecting supplication — as if provision could be sought from other than its true Source, and victory rushed before its appointed time.”
